Here Comes the Bride

Posted by Anne Yorks on Sunday, August 10, 2014

This morning, another bridal order is wrapped and ready! It's been a wonderfully busy wedding season this year! Check out some of the fun projects we have worked on this summer.

I love all the different colors couples choose for their weddings.

These cookies were for a navy and coral wedding. They cookies were going on a cookie table - an idea that was to honor the grandfather of the bride that loved cookies!

I made more than 80 of these bride and groom bird box sets. The client provided the custom tags. here is a close up of the birds out of the box.

Clients order cookies for the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. And, there are times when a gift is ordered to send best wished to the bride and groom.

This collection covers all those occasions. It's available for special order here http://www.flourboxbakery.com/collections/wedding-engagement-gifts/products/happily-ever-after.

I loved making these jar cookies!! The jar and yellow flowers coordinated with the invitation.

This wedding gown favor was created for a 'Something Blue' themed bridal shower. The details are simple and elegant. Just a hit of blue at the hem on on the bodice with a blue sash.

A blue bouquet of flowers for another shower!

My favorite cookie to make is the peacock. It's also a popular wedding favor too!

This cutter is exclusively available here! And, a step-by-step video tutorial will be available this week!!. This cookie coordinates with the peacock stencil also available on our site

Here is an example of how the stencil looks.

In additional to the wedding favor orders, in July, I also taught an intermediate cookie decorating class that focused on wedding favor cookies.

We practiced royal icing stenciling, ribbon roses, lace borders, brushed flowers and more. And we also created that cute bride cookie (a video tutorial on the bride cookie will be available soon on our tutorial page!).

Flour Box Bakery is always honored to be a small, sweet part of life's big events! If you are having a special occasion and are looking for something unique, please contact us for a cookie quote!
