I am so excited to share the 15 cookies for the St. Patrick's Day cookie collection for 2012...available for order here!

Erin go bragh! Ireland forever!

Cookie puzzles are great,

and add a little disco dust and whoa, they are pure magic!! Thank you, Casey of Casey's Confections for making them so popular through her video tutorial!!

I had a little fun experimenting with some of the cookies in this collection. Because Ireland is know for its beautiful lace, I tried my hand at a lace cookie. It took a little time to get it right, and it's a little basic, but I was happy with the final cookie. The cookie is sitting on a Belleek cookie plate, a Christmas gift from my mom. She is a collector of Belleek pottery.

I really wanted to attempt a Belleek cookie, so I made this teapot. It has a unique basket weave, which I have done on my baby carriage and on this http://www.flourboxbakery.com/blogs/tidbits/1534842-easter-egg-hunthttp://www.flourboxbakery.com/blogs/tidbits/1534842-easter-egg-hunt. But this was the first time I did it on a teapot.

This is the real teapot. Soooo pretty. I almost didn't attempt this cookie because I felt intimidated.

I'm so glad I did. I really am thrilled to have this one as part of the whole collection!

One of my favorite symbols from Ireland is the Claddagh. It's meaning is friendship, loyalty, and love. I like this particular design because it is colorful.

This collection also includes a few cookies for the kids...or cookies that people won't mind eating. A leprechaun, some shamrocks, and some gold coins...munch, munch, munch!

This cookie cutter is new to my collection and I got just in time to make a Celtic cross.

Here is the entire collection in one photo...and of course, what Irish collection would be complete without a 'Kiss me, I'm Irish' cookie? It's in there...I just didn't have a close up of the red lips!

And before I go, I'll leave you with my favorite Irish blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

Have a sweet day!!
Anne
