How to Decorate a Christmas Cactus

Posted by Anne Yorks on Friday, December 15, 2017

One of my best friends (and college roommate) moved 2000 miles away to Arizona. I miss her so much! So I decided to send her some fun Christmas cookies!!

Merry Cactus, Kelly!

My favorite of the bunch is the Santa Cactus. Check out the video and see how to make him. Use the graphics in the video to learn when to dry the icing and what icing tips are used.

Let's take a closer look at making these fun cookies. I am using this ADORABLE Sugarbelle Cactus Cutter set, available in our shop for $4.99.

The colors I used to make the cookies are all Chefmaster: The cactus is leaf green (just a light and dark version of the leaf green), Super Black, Bright White, and Christmas Red. You can see the full line of Chefmaster Liqua Gels - click here.

I love that this cookie is relatively quick and easy.

The fun detail that I love is the scarf and the hat 'fur'. This is rich with texture thanks to Wilton Star tip #13 - in our shop here!

I hope Kelly loves her special cookies. Nothing says thinking of you at Christmas like a box full of cookies!!

Merry Cactus ;)
