A Little Fun with Collages

Posted by Anne Yorks on Friday, June 1, 2012

I have several projects I want to show on the blog today - and thanks to my friend Lisa the Bearfootbaker and PicMonkey.com - I can show them easily with a collage format.

Here is a set of Graduation cookie samples made for a high school graduate.

I recently donated a gift to the Palmer Art Museum for their 40th Anniversary Celebration.

This set included a paint brush and palette set, a rendition of the Palmer logo (that funny square cookie), and a few red rubies in honor of being 40 and fabulous! Of course, to make the cookies fabulous, they needed disco dust. That colorful square was a special request by my friend who was also doing a mosaic sculpture for the event. Both the cookie and the sculpture are tribute to the beautiful, colorful columns on the outside of the museum.

I made this special set of Steampunk cookies for an old and dear friend. She made me a special blanket and pillow set, and I made her cookies, a trade. I made a top hat with goggles, a few gears and cogs, and a special heart cookie for a Steampunk friend that had a recent heart surgery!

Finally, this set of cookies was made months ago. I just forgot to put it out on the blog. These were for a big/little sorority sister celebration. I used the cookie puzzle idea to make the hearts representing each sister!

Coming this Sunday is a super fabulous collaborative cookie project. I hope to post it in the afternoon...so please check back if you want to be dazzled by some amazing cookie artists!!

Have a sweet weekend!
